Sinus Surgery
Dr. Houser is a skilled rhinologic surgeon, serving as a referral site for individuals with complex situations to be treated.
Allergy Therapy
At MetroHealth we treat inhalant allergy through a 3 tier approach: 1) avoidance, 2) pharmacotherapy, 3) immunotherapy. For #3 we are happy to provide both traditional subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT, or allergy shots), and sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT). At this time SLIT is not covered by insurance, though SCIT is.
Sleep Apnea
Snoring is problematic, but a cessation of breathing goes beyond just snoring and can be life threatening. At MetroHealth we work alongside our Pulmonary Medicine colleagues to provide medical and surgical solutions. Inspire tongue stimulation is coming.
Empty Nose Syndrome
Dr. Houser is recognized as a pioneer in treating ENS. Implants and injections are available for these complex cases. A phone consult is required initially, with the most recent post-surgery CT sinus and office/OR records. There is a charge for this service. Email jhook@metrohealth.org for more information.

There are centers in Texas that charge $40K for septal perforation repair. We are able to provide this surgery through your insurance coverage.
